GETTING TO ST. HELENS

St. Helens, Oregon, is easily accessible from Portland International Airport (PDX), located just 35 miles away. From there, you can rent a car or use a ride-sharing service to reach your hotel and Spirit of Halloweentown. We recommend allowing extra travel time on event days to account for traffic and parking.

Important Transportation Information:

Please be aware that Uber and Lyft services are not widely available in St. Helens. There have been instances where visitors were stranded due to a lack of ride-share operators in the area. Taxis typically come from Portland to pick up in St. Helens, which can be both costly and time-consuming.

Tips for Ensuring a Smooth Trip:

  • Plan Ahead: Make sure you have your transportation arrangements figured out before arriving in St. Helens. We strongly recommend renting a car or securing a ride well in advance.
  • Schedule Rideshare Pickups in Advance: If you plan to use Uber or Lyft, scheduling a pickup in advance can help guarantee a ride out of town. Be sure to check the availability and book your ride as early as possible.
  • Consider Local Options: Check with your lodging provider for any local shuttle services or transportation options that may be available during the event.

By planning your transportation ahead of time, you can ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit to Spirit of Halloweentown. We want to make sure your trip is magical from start to finish, so please take the time to arrange your travel and accommodations in advance.

PARKING & SHUTTLES

Parking in St. Helens during Spirit of Halloweentown is extremely limited, and we highly recommend utilizing our designated paid parking lots for the best experience. These lots come with the added convenience of a complimentary shuttle service that will transport you directly to and from Spirit of Halloweentown in just 4 minutes.

Important Parking Information:

  • Limited Availability: Due to ongoing construction in the area, many of the streets and parking lots used in previous years are no longer available. As a result, parking within the town is very restricted, and finding a spot on your own can be challenging.
  • Designated Parking Lots: To ensure you have a hassle-free visit, we encourage all guests to park in our designated lots located near 1810 Old Portland Rd, St Helens, OR 97051. Simply follow the signs directing you to the parking area from Hwy 30. These lots are managed specifically for event attendees, providing secure parking with easy access to our complimentary shuttle service.
  • Shuttle Service: Our shuttles run regularly between the parking lots and Spirit of Halloweentown, offering a quick and convenient 4-minute ride. The shuttle service is included with your parking fee, making it the most convenient option for getting to and from the festivities.
  • Parking Fee: The cost of parking is $25 per vehicle when purchased online or $30 at the event. This fee includes all-day parking and the round-trip shuttle service. Please note that parking spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tips for a Smooth Parking Experience:

  • Arrive Early: To secure a spot in the designated parking lots, we recommend arriving early, especially on weekends and during peak event hours.
  • Follow the Signs: As you approach St. Helens on Hwy 30, keep an eye out for parking signs directing you to the designated lots. These signs will guide you to the correct location and help you avoid the frustration of searching for parking in restricted areas.
  • Carpool: If possible, consider carpooling with friends or family to reduce the number of vehicles needing parking. This will not only help ease parking congestion but also contribute to a more sustainable event.

Note: Street parking and unofficial lots around St. Helens may not be available due to construction or other restrictions. We strongly advise against parking in residential neighborhoods or unauthorized areas, as this may result in ticketing or towing.
